“Autumn rain” is the story of this boho Portuguese wedding in Azeitão.

The last Saturday of October. Autumn was at its peak with its vibrant colors and smells. Overhead, heavy clouds marked their presence and as the day unfolded, this became a memorable day on many levels, one being the rainiest day of the year! 

Mariana and Francisco wanted a small wedding. Above all else, they wanted their wedding to reflect who they are as a couple: romantic, contemplative, affectionate and attentive to detail. They’re people of people.

And it was indeed everything of the above. Mariana wore a stylish boho-style long sleeved dress and chose warm colored wildflowers for her bouquet. After the ceremony, at Sesimbra’s castle, we went to Quinta das Torres, in the magical village of Azeitão. This idilic XVI century palatial house is surrounded by gardens, a lake and a square patio, where the dinner and party took place. During the cocktail, a harp and clarinet duo enchanted everyone and a live band took it from there till the end of the night. The connection of all the people involved, their contagious energy, with the sound of heavy rain pouring in the background made this day a poetic day.

In the end, there was autumn rain and showers of love!
