1. Palácio Marqueses de Fronteira
Right at the edge of Monsanto Natural Park, there it stands, a XVII century palace. With its lush gardens and pristine tile collection, this palace is one of the most romantic venues I’ve seen.
An absolutely wonderful place to have your wedding with the certainty of providing your guests an exquisite experience.
2. Quinta do Hespanhol
Rustic elegance are the words I’d choose to describe Quinta do Hespanhol. Just an hour’s drive from Lisbon, this 600 year old manor is located in a dense and sumptuous valley. The property covers 100 hectares and still remains in the possession of the original family. Public areas include patios and well-kept gardens, where civil ceremonies can be held.
3. Solar de Pancas
Solar de Pancas used to be a manor house and was converted into a wedding venue in recent years. Located in the wine region of Alenquer, this venue is quite unique and can be easily identified because of the ivy covered building. It has several rooms, a chapel and beautiful gardens.
4. Estufa Real
This venue is incorporated in a Lisbon’s Botanical Garden. The gorgeous, delicate gardens stretch as far as the eye can see and your backdrop includes the river and the 25th April Bridge. The venue has 3 available rooms, one of which is a greenhouse.
Both the ceremony and dinner party can be held outdoors or indoors, depending on the weather. The decoration is elegant and very organic.
5. Estufa Fria
Estufa Fria is a stunning venue in Lisbon’s city center, an enormous greenhouse, next to Parque Eduardo VII. In addition to the lovely and spacious salon, it shelters hundreds of botanical species from around the world. Both the couple and guests can enjoy the greenhouse’s creeks, plant life and secret hideouts.
The ceremony can take place outside, next to the artificial lake. It can be thought for a classic or a boho chic wedding. It’s an exclusive venue of Casa do Marquês.
6. Forte da Cruz
If you wish to get married in a castle by the sea, look no further. This is your dream venue. Located in Praia do Tamariz, in Estoril, Forte da Cruz has a breathtaking view o f the sea.
Both the ceremony and party can be held outdoor or indoor. The tropical gardens and exquisite rooms are perfect for a small wedding. It’s an exclusive venue of Penha Longa Catering
7. Areias do Seixo
Areias do Seixo is a hotel, but it has it all: the location, the organic touch, the magic. It’s divided into rooms, villas and bungalows. If you decide to get married there, the hotel takes care of everything (catering and decoration), so you won’t have to worry.
The civil ceremonies and receptions usually take place in the Circle of Fire. If you’re planning an elopement, a romantic candlelight dinner for two will be prepared just for you. It’s impossible not to fall in love with this place!
8. Quinta da Conceição
South of Lisbon, you can also find a multitude of stunning venues, some of them are palaces or manors, turned into wedding venues or high-class lodgings. That’s the case with Quinta da Conceição.
It’s located on a secluded hill top and it’s surrounded by tranquility and privacy. It has a dedicated events space with a transparent marquee, a patio and romantic gardens for your civil ceremony.
9. Quinta da Serralheira
In close proximity of the national road and A2 highway accesses, this wedding venue is located in the middle of a valley covered with vineyards.
On the horizon, you can see the silhouette of the Palmela Castle and at dusk the sky is painted with rich colors. The space features a lawn for civil ceremonies, a wine and cheese tasting room and the main hall, with large windows and wooden ceiling. Rustic, sophisticated and stylish. It’s a Tempero de Alegria (catering) exclusive venue.
10. Herdade do Monte Novo
Herdade do Monte Novo is included in a family property. The surrounding area is extensive and lawned. There are two ivy-covered pergola, which can be used for civil ceremonies.
The main building resembles a rustic and elegant country house, with a painting reminiscent of Alentejo houses in southern Portugal. Cocktail, dinner, live acts and party can be held indoors or outdoors.
