“Honey sealed love” is the story of Kiana and Josh, a Palacio (Marqueses da) Fronteira destination wedding.
Hot, sunny July. In Lisbon’s Monsanto Park lies a hidden gem, a testament to the grandeur of Portugal’s past and the beauty of enduring love – Palácio Fronteira. Amid the lush gardens and storied halls of this magnificent palace, Kiana and Josh celebrated their union in a wedding that was as enchanting as it was unforgettable.
She has a captivating smile. He has tender eyes. They speak to each other in the silence of their overwhelming connection.
As the sun bathed the palace grounds in a beautiful glow, the couple prepared for their special day within the opulent chambers of Palacio Fronteira. Against the backdrop of centuries-old tapestries, ornate furnishings and antique tiles, the whole feeling of the palace was poetic.
But perhaps the most extraordinary moment of the day came when we were granted access to the palace’s phenomenal and ancient library fro brief moments. Here, surrounded by towering shelves lined with leather-bound volumes and illuminated by the soft glow of a gigantic window, Kiana seemed to transcend time itself, and became a photograph out a Art History book.
Their union was celebrated with beautiful words from family members and friends. Because of Kiana’s Iranian roots, a Persian ceremony was also held. During the whole ceremony, no sound could be heard. In front of them, there was a table.
Each element on the table had a specific symbolism meant to bless the bride and groom. The colors and scents filled the air and made it all so wonderful, as they sealed their love with honey… May their love always be this sweet!
After the reception, the dining area was set outside, next to stunning historical statues that stood as silent witnesses to the joyous occasion. As the evening unfolded, the air was filled with laughter and music, and the sound of clinking glasses mingled with the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze.
During the meal, the couple’s closest family members and friends took turns delivering emotional speeches, sharing heartfelt memories and well-wishes for the newlyweds. Tears were shed, laughter echoed through the gardens, and love filled the air, creating a truly magical atmosphere that will be remembered for years to come.
And as the night drew to a close, the party continued with the extraordinary performance of a live piano player, the music echoing on the terrace and mingling with the stars above. For the couple and their guests, this summer Palacio Fronteira wedding was not just a celebration of love, but a journey through time and a testament to the enduring power of romance in the most breathtaking of settings.
It was truly a privilege to be part of such an unforgettable day!
