What clothes to wear?

Today’s guide intends to help future moms choose the clothes to a pregnancy photoshoot.

Although this is a common dilemma with all photoshoots, it’s the future moms who generally express their insecurity as to what they should wear. Many of them say their clothes no longer fit and they’ll have to buy something new. THERE’S NO NEEDO FOR THAT !

What you wear to the photoshoot must reflect your style and who you are on your everyday life. We can try and go for different looks and feels.

I generally advise the use of clothes of solid tones, without  shocking patterns, but it’s all a matter of conjugation between you and the other family members. Take a look and see if this photoshoot guide helps you.

1. Dresses

Short or long dresses are always  elegant. Whether in lighter or darker tones, during Summer or Winter, they’re a good option. You can go for a flowy or tight type. I’m sure either one of these examples works.

2. Jeans and shirt

Dresses aren’t the only option. Jeans and shirt, in this case in symmetry, work beautifully in more open backdrops.

In this way, the models are always highlighted.

3. Different tones or solid black

There are those who go for different tones and clothes, thus achieving dynamic looks in the same session…

Solid black is also an option that works very well. It’s a bold look and I understand most people don’t feel comfortable wearing black to a pregnancy photoshoot. Nonetheless, like I said before, the clothes you choose should be faithful to your daily style.

4. Patterns

Avoiding excessive patterns is important, but they can be interesting in the right backdrop. Also patterns in accessories can enrich the image.

In the colder months, elements such as scarves, coats, hats, can make all the difference and give a “warm” look.

5. Objects

There are no limits to one’s imagination. And make sure to include objects in your photoshoot, something related to the baby or the pregnancy itself. It can be anything from an ultrasound, baby’s clothes or even the pregnancy test that marked the beginning of the adventure.

6. Show off the belly

You can also choose to take specific maternity dresses, shorter shirts or tops to proudly show off your beautiful baby bump.

7. All together

Apart from all the accessories and baby related objects, the other family members can (and should) join in. The more, the merrier!

A new life must be celebrated!
